Go Red for Heart Health 2016
Kappa Theta Epsilon Sorority, Inc. organizes Heart Health Campaign
As part of a long-standing commitment to health awareness and women’s wellness, Kappa Theta Epsilon hosted a Go Red educational campaign this past February. Sorority members, friends, family and supporters from across the nation donned their best red ensembles to spark conversation on the topic.
Through social media activities and local grassroots efforts, the Sorority educated both men and women on the importance of heart healthy lifestyle choices. The initiative is a part of the organization’s perpetual support of the American Heart Association’s Go RED for Heart Health program, which culminates on Go RED Day each February.
Members dressed in red, live tweeted and posted heart health messages on official Sorority and individual accounts, and shared information with members of their local communities.
Every member and participant also committed to the Sorority’s Health Heart Pledge, promising to make health-conscious lifestyle choices throughout the year.
